Remove food & water sources
Clean up crumbs
from counters and floors.
Cover trash cans

Store food
in tightly sealed plastic, glass or metal containers.
Rinse out cans
that contained soda or food before discarding.
Eliminate standing water
or other moisture sources.
Remove opportunities for shelter
Seal cracks & openings
around your home foundation.
Tidy up storage areas
on a regular basis including attics, basements and closets.
Eliminate outdoor hiding places
by trimming shrubs and bushes off the ground and away from the home foundation.
Move firewood
away from the house and off the ground.
